laSADCUM (BIO)



The project borns in 2019 in Barcelona, by the hand of Guillem Jiménez (Barcelona, 1999), with the first short dance pice THE UNCANNY VALLEY (2019). In 2020, for the 2nd anniversary of the MARICAS MARICAS, the collective commissioned the creation of a short piece, THE LESSON (2020) presented at the TKM ROOM space (Barcelona), and reprogrammed again in the space as a solo show with the exhibition CLASSMATES (2020). In 2021 Dance Lawyer and Isabel Eatherly commission the video-performances UNTILTE (2021) for the digital exhibition BURNT, RADIANT, SCROLLING presented in Brooklying, NY. In 2022 they present at CCCB (Barcelona) in collaboration with Dansa Metropolitana, the first large-format stage production, ACLUCALLS (2022). The work CÀPSULA ACLUCALLS (2022) derives from it, in which versions of the piece are made for unconventional spaces. During 2021, laSADCUM is resident in La Caldera (Barcelona) and in Center Cívic Barceloneta (Barcelona). Subsequently, the exhibition TWINK TWINK TWINK (2022) is inaugurated in aula46 (Barcelona). At the same time, an entire educational and curating program was developed in various spaces such as the CCCB, Graner, Centro Cívico Barceloneta or Espai la Granja, together with the own workshop DANCE THE INTERNET (2022). In 2022 they are residents in Graner (Barcelona) in the Emerging Artists Modality. In 2023 they enter as residents at Fabra i Coats in Barcelona, L’Estruch of Sabadell, the CCCB (inside the porgram Laboratori Escénic) and at El Corralito (inside the program of TNT Festival) to develop their new production NAVAJA (2024), premeried this march at Paral·lel 62 (Barcelona) as part of the festival Dansa Metropolitana. Their works have been presented in spaces and contexts such as Teatros del Canal, Museo Guggeenheim Bilabo, La Mutant, Centre de Cultura Contemporanea de Barcelona, San Andreu Teatre, La Capella, Dansa Valencia, La Casa Encendida, Dansa Metropolitana, Mercé Arts de Carrer Festival, Teatre El Musical, Madrid en Danza, Sala Apolo, Festival Terrassa Noves Tendencies, Teatre Alegria, amoung ohters.
